While there is nothing wrong with feeling sad occasionally when there is a reason for it, you may need to worry if the negative thoughts persist.

A depressed person will no longer care about activities they previously liked and will find it difficult to enjoy any daily activities and tasks.

Sleeping too little or too much is a common sign of depression - moreover, depression may be the cause of exhaustion after a healthy eight hours of sleep.

If you are depressed, you will find it impossible to focus on your duties which is particularly dangerous for people whose jobs require a high level of responsibility.

Unwanted images and thoughts that appear in the person’s brain and do not let them be at peace may indicate the need for depression therapy.

If you are sick, certain symptoms, such as headache or neck pain, are expected. However, if a physician cannot pinpoint the reason for a specific symptom, it may have been caused by a mental disorder.
For more than twelve years our mental health facility has been welcoming patients to cope with the symptoms of mental health disorders.
Some mental health issues remain untreated especially when all focus is directed to depression - we will figure out if the patient needs extra help with other issues.
After a comprehensive assessment, we will be able to develop treatment options and strategies suitable for you.
A patient that comes to us for help will not be isolated from their family and friends - on the contrary, we will encourage your loved ones to participate in your recovery whenever possible.
The two main treatments for depression are medication (antidepressants) and psychotherapy (talk therapy). For many people, a combination of both is most effective. In severe cases, brain stimulation therapies or a hospital stay may be necessary.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps individuals identify and change the negative thoughts and behaviors that contribute to their depression. It provides skills to cope with current difficulties, solve problems, and replace negative patterns with healthy, positive ones.
Common types include Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs), Serotonin-Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors (SNRIs), and atypical antidepressants. The right medication often requires trial and error, and it can take several weeks for effects to be fully realized.
Yes, lifestyle changes can improve depression symptoms. Self-care practices like regular exercise, a balanced diet, and getting enough sleep can make a meaningful difference. It’s also important to avoid alcohol and drugs, engage in activities you enjoy, and stay connected with supportive people, as these habits can help boost mood and support recovery.
If initial treatments don’t work, a healthcare professional might explore other options, such as trying a different medication, combining antidepressants, or considering brain stimulation therapies like Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) or Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for treatment-resistant cases.

This place has an amazing team that truly cares about the clients and their goals, AND shoutout to the chef! The housing facilities are clean with lots of natural lighting, and the property is peaceful with plenty of space to step outside and get fresh air. Outside of group counseling and weekly individual therapy sessions, there is an impressive home-gym and you get taken on group outings every weekend for a change of scenery! Shoutout to Lacey, who helped so many learn to embrace the group therapy aspect of the program!Posted on Tracy BellgTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
