We focus exclusively on treating mental-health conditions (we do not provide addiction/dual-diagnosis or virtual-therapy–only care).
Many clients value staying nearby while receiving treatment outside immediate daily routines.
We offer a wide range of mental-health treatment programs tailored to the needs of residents in The Woodlands:
Using structured therapies – such as CBT and mindfulness-based strategies—we help ease persistent low mood, rebuild emotional stability, and support improved daily functioning.
Our trauma-informed programs guide clients in safely processing past experiences, developing healthier coping mechanisms, and moving forward toward renewed emotional strength.
Through a combination of individual therapy, mood-regulation support, and medication-monitoring when clinically appropriate, we help clients manage bipolar spectrum conditions and reclaim balance.
Our team applies evidence-based methods aimed at reducing intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviours, enabling clients to rebuild meaningful routines and improved quality of life.
We provide individualized and group-therapy options for those navigating complex personality-related conditions (such as borderline or narcissistic features), assisting in emotional regulation, relational skills and self-understanding.
From generalized anxiety and chronic worry to managing panic attacks, our clinicians craft personalised plans that target underlying triggers, teach coping strategies, and support longer-term symptom relief.
We use behavioural coaching, executive-function and life-skills training and – when clinically indicated – medication-monitoring to help clients improve focus, organisation and day-to-day productivity.
Combining CBT-I (cognitive-behavioural therapy for insomnia), sleep-hygiene routines and mindfulness-based support, we help restore healthy sleep patterns, sharpen cognitive clarity and enhance overall wellness.
For clients managing schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorders, our residential environment offers structured therapeutic support, medication-monitoring, and a safe, stabilising setting to rebuild toward wellness.
Our 24/7 residential programme in Martindale offers an immersive therapeutic environment in a serene, supportive setting – ideal for individuals who require intensive, sustained care away from everyday distractions.

These last 45 days have been some of the hardest and most healing times I’ve ever had arriving to lone star I was terrified ! Simply because getting treatment is a big deal I wasn’t sure of the company or community I would be throwing myself into but wow was it the best decision I’ve ever made. To begin the staff and nurses/psychiatrist were some of the most genuine people I’ve ever met it’s very rare you go to a mental health facility where the employees gentility care for the health of the clients and care deeply for their job. The employees themselves have been hands down the best part of this stay! They’ve allowed me to authentically express who I am while comforting me in ways that allowed me to be vulnerable with my faults which is such a big deal when it comes to healing! Secondly the facility itself is very nice and always clean and provided some of the best meals I’ve had thanks to the chef! The company’s leaders Jenifer and Brandon were the most open minded and helpful people ever they consistently listened to the clients and cared deeply about our input and ways the facility could be better! There was never a complaint of mine that went ignored which I am extremely grateful towards. If you’re having second thoughts on coming to lone star let me be the first to tell you JUST DO IT! This was by far the best treatment I’ve ever gotten and will hold this place very dearly to my heart ! Lone star became a home away from home and I will never forget the great hospitality and kindness lone star has provided me! They give you all the tools you need to be successful it’s just up to you to actually do the work! If I weren’t healed I’d happily do this treatment again but after just 1 stay I know I am ready to take on the world so to that I say thank you lonestarPosted on Google

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the team at Lonestar Mental Health. From the moment my son was admitted, I knew he was in a place where people genuinely cared about his well-being and recovery. A special thank you goes to Bess. She has been absolutely amazing throughout this entire journey. She consistently kept me informed about everything that was happening with my son, including updates on his medications, treatment progress, and overall well-being. Her communication, compassion, and professionalism gave me tremendous peace of mind during a very difficult time. The entire staff has been exceptional. They treated my son with kindness, respect, patience, and encouragement. They provided a variety of activities and therapeutic opportunities that helped him develop coping skills, build confidence, improve his mental health, and engage positively with others. It was wonderful to see him participating in activities that supported both his emotional growth and recovery. The team worked diligently to help my son reach the next level in his treatment and recovery journey. Their dedication, support, and commitment to his success made all the difference. They truly went above and beyond to ensure he had the tools and resources needed to move forward. As a parent, finding a facility that genuinely cares can be overwhelming, but I was so excited and grateful when I found Lonestar Mental Health. They exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend this program to any family looking for compassionate, professional, and effective mental health care for their loved one. Thank you, Bess, and thank you to the entire staff for the incredible work you do every day. You have made a lasting impact on my son’s life and on our family. ❤️Posted on Google

Cannot express how much they helped my son during his stay there. He was valued from the moment we entered to the time he was discharged, and thereafter. The help he received is invaluable and I could see the difference. Highly recommend.Posted on Google

Just left the facility. I had a great experience. Nursing staff was on point, i tried giving them hell and they just showed me nothing but love and support. Techs were all super cool and understanding, through every step of the way. Therapists were really good and it was super beneficial, and case manager was on point from start to finish. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to go seeking professional help in a safe and homestyle environment. Chef was also amazing, great food everyday. Thank you (cussing was involved with my healing, and the occasional slur. They handled it very well. De escelation of high intensity situations were also on point, by all staff)Posted on Google

I had a relative who was admitted to this facility. I was very uncertain of how this was going to help her immediate mental episode. As soon as she entered, she was taken care of in such a personal and professional manner. They were all very compassionate and respectful to her and her mental state. I am extremely grateful !Posted on Google
